Paper and Talk Types

All papers (full papers, extended abstracts, transferred papers and Rising Star Talks) have a poster and talk. The talks have two formats:

  • Flash Talk (1 minute talk) – this will happen on Day 2 in the multi-track format
  • Oral Presentation (8 minute talk) – this will happen on Day 1-3, some in the single track format, others in the multi-track format.

Poster Format

Posters should be portrait and maximum size of A0. Printing is available onsite at EPFL (see details here), however, this should be ordered in advance.

Flash Talk Format

1 min talks, should be submitted prior to the conference. This is your opportunity to ‘sell’ your work to the audience!!

Oral Presentation Format

8 minute talk introducing your topic or paper.

For all talks we encourage you to practice and ensure your talk is clear, engaging and within the time limits!
