Are you ready to showcase your innovative Soft Robotics creations? The RoboSoft ART Expo 2025 offers a unique stage for researchers, artists, and innovators to showcase their imaginative projects and photography during the conference. This is your chance to push the boundaries of art and technology, whether through kinetic soft sculptures, wearable robotics, responsive environments, or bio-inspired designs and more! Call for Art Expo Demo Pieces
The International Conference on Soft Robotics (RoboSoft) 2025 is thrilled to introduce a groundbreaking opportunity for researchers and artists in the field of Soft robotics – the RoboSoft ART Expo! Which will provide a unique platform for showcasing your creativity using Soft Robotics through live demonstrations during the conference.
What We’re Looking For:
- Soft robotic sculptures that mimic natural movements
- Interactive installations
- Wearable robotics or bio-inspired designs
- And anything else that pushes the boundaries of art and technology!
Key Features:
Inclusive Opportunity
Robosoft ART Expo is open to everyone, whether or not your paper has been accepted. If your paper has been accepted at RoboSoft 2025, be sure to include the paper ID in your submission. A paper submission is NOT a requirement.
Travel Grant
Applicants submitting demos can apply for a travel grant to support the transportation and logistics of bringing their Art to RoboSoft. The travel grant is meant to be a small contribution to the travel costs so we can maximize the number of artists that receive support.
Outstanding ART Award
- We will have 3 monetary Outstanding ART Awards. Provisionally, the award amount is $250 for first, $150 for second, and $100 for third places, but is subject to change.
- Your work will be evaluated and voted on by the general audience and experts and the most exceptional demonstrations will be invited to submit a paper to a RAM special issue.
- A professional videographer from EPFL media will also record your work and provide you with a copy for your portfolio.

Call for Art Photography
We are thrilled to announce an open call for art photography submissions for the Soft Robotics Conference 2025 Art Exhibition.
This exhibition aims to celebrate the creative possibilities at the convergence of art and technology. We invite photographers, artists, and creative technologists to explore the softness, flexibility and adaptability of soft robots, their intersection with the natural environment and bio-inspiration. Their HRI aspects and relationship with emotional or sensory experiences, the aesthetic beauty and societal implications of soft robotics, just use your imagination and take your camera, because we welcome innovative perspectives that challenge traditional definitions of soft robotics and art.
Selected works will be displayed physically (we will print your work) at the Soft Robotics Conference 2025 venue (The exhibition hall).
How to Submit: To submit your work, please use this google form and provide the following information:
- Artist/Photographer Name
- Contact Information
- Titles and descriptions of submitted works
- High-resolution images of the works (with optional captions):
- Photography (digital or analog), digital photomontage, or mixed media (as long as photography is the primary component).
- Format: JPEG or TIFF. Max. size: 10 MB. Min resolution: 2000 x 3000 pixels (16.9 x 25.4 cm to 300 dpi). Digital retouching accepted.
Submission deadline: January 15th, 2025
Notification of Acceptance: Mid February 2025
Prize:
- The best work will be voted by the general public and experts visiting the exhibition and will be used for the cover of the Soft Robot Journal.
- You can keep your printed photo
